Note on Carbolic Acid in Cholera. last I began the use of carbolic acid in the form of pills made with flour : 1 Tf|^ of acid in each pill. The treatment, the results of which I tested by visits to the villages attacked, In August I bereduced the death-rate from 66 to 33 per cent. to the formula in the gan giving the acid in solution according case now submitted by the Assistant Surgeon. The results with the solution have been most encouraging. In one village in which every case attacked had died, out of 22 cases treated only 2 died. In another village, within 5 miles of the Sudder Station, where the disease still prevails, there were cases unaided all died, but out of 19 cases treated, of only 3 deaths.
