years. No children. One abortion a year after marriage. Pain aggravated on exertion. Painful menstruation. Loss of flesh, and general ill-health ever since abortion ; also asthma. Physical signs.?Emaciated and sickly looking. P. V.: Uterus retroverted and tender. Swelling in the posterior quarters of pelvis and tenderness ; most on right side. No swelling above brim of pelvis. Operation.? lltli August. A. C. E. mixture. 3 inch incision. Omentum matted over roof Left ovary and tube enucleated of pelvis. from bed of adhesions in doing which an abscess was opened and pus flowed freely. Right tube and ovary in similar condition, but removed without escape of pus. Portions of omentum tied off and cut away. Right ovary small and cirrhosed. Right tube much thickened contained pus. Left ovary small and cystic. Left tube thickened and abscess cavity size of small orange at fimbriated end and around ovary. Drain tube used. Progress after operation.?Tube removed 2nd day. No vomiting. Wound healed well, and stitches were removed 8th day. Highest temperature 101? F. 14th day agthma?otherwise 9S"40F. Asthma troubled her after 3rd day. Is now well and walking about. No thickening1 Result: Cured. in pelvis. Uterus movable.

Tubo-ovarian Abscess: Disorganized ovary.? Admitted 19th July. Hindu, aged 18 years. Married, 4i years. No children. Two months before admission had a profuse and very painful period with fever. Period discharge lasted 20 days. History of leucorrhcea with burning
