We have read the interesting article of Lee et al. entitled ‘‘Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in the differentiation of endometriomas from hemorrhagic cysts in the ovary’’ which was published online in Acta Radiologica in November 2015 (1). The study included fairly important information which was very useful for us. However, we would like to make a few contributions. Ultrasonographic views of hemorrhagic cysts depend on bleeding time and their content. Therefore, if hemorrhagic cysts are followed by diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), ADC values may probably vary over time. This issue may be a different study subject. In this study, the TE (echo time) value of DWI was 105 msn. It is recommended that TE values should be

below the value of 100 ms in order to reduce susceptibility artifacts in abdominal magnetic resonance imaging (ideally 80–85 msn). It should also be known that changes in the TE value make changes in ADC values (2). References 1. Lee NK, Kim S, Kim KH, et.al.
