EDITOR'S CORNER Nucleus 6:1, 1; January/February 2015; © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC

Editor’s Corner Dear colleagues, Nucleus is entering its 6th year and we would like to take the opportunity to thank you and particularly all authors and reviewers for your continuous support. Due to the steadily growing number of high-quality submissions, Nucleus is well on its way towards becoming a leading platform for presenting and discussing frontiers of research on all aspects of cell nucleus Published bimonthly, Nucleus provides an opportunity for leading scientists in the field not only to present their work in Research Articles and Short Reports but also to discuss, speculate and elaborate on previous results in Commentaries, Extra Views and Reviews. Nucleus has become established in the scientific community as is reflected by its first Impact Factor, reaching 3.148 according to the 2013 Journal Citation Report. There is still much work ahead of us to further improve

the position of the journal but our editorial team is fully dedicated to increasing the quality of Nucleus and further its visibility among scientists. A significant move in this direction was the acquisition of our founding publisher, Landes Bioscience, by Taylor & Francis Group, a leading publishing company with more than 150-year tradition. Our policies, including the attractive Open Access model, remain unaffected by this transition. All articles published in Nucleus are eligible for free access one year after publication. Alternatively, authors may purchase immediate Open Access at a cost that is considerably lower than for many other scientific journals in related fields and many of our authors make use of this possibility. In addition our team will continue working hard to maintain our fast and efficient review process for submitted manuscripts providing fair and construc-

tive feedback from our Editorial Board and other leading scientists in the field. We hope that you will continue to enjoy and support our journal in the coming year. With the strong belief in our common goals we will continue to further improve the perception and acceptance of Nucleus within the research community and with your help we look forward to realizing our plans and vision for Nucleus in the next year. We wish you a very happy and successful year 2015. The Nucleus editorial team Roland Foisner, Editor-in-Chief, [email protected] Adam Weiss, Acquisitions Editor, [email protected]
