Additionally since this retractor is superior to the operative field it affords easy access from the side without the encumbrance of h a r d w a r e found in ring-type retractors adapted for use in hypospadias repairs. This retractor has been found to give uniform and adequate traction as needed throughout the entire surgical procedure. It is also easily set up and removed as needed during the case, to meet the changing requirements for traction and position throughout the hypospadias repair.
