Intralobar pulmonary sequestration fed from aortic aneurysm

Intralobar pulmonary sequestration fed from an aortic aneurysm is a rare phenomenon. The malformation and descending aortic aneurysm were discovered during computed tomography (Figures 1 and 2) in a 86-year-old woman. During open surgical repair of the descending aneurysm, the left lower lobe including the feeding vessel of the pulmonary sequestration was resected, and the patient made an uneventful postoperative recovery.
