Counseling Parents Who Are Considering Newborn Male Circumcision The article, “Counseling Parents Who Are Considering Newborn Male Circumcision,” published in the November/December 2013 issue of the Journal (58[6]:671-682) contained an error on page 674, which was introduced during the copyediting process and incorrectly altered the author’s meaning. The sentence should read: “A recent meta-analysis of 22 studies (21 observational and one randomized controlled trial of 70 participants)23 examined lack of circumcision as a risk factor for UTI and reported a lifetime relative risk of UTI as being 3.7 times higher in uncircumcised males.”
