College Hospital an increase which is necessary providing quarters for a Resident Chaplain and
for the purpose of
Subordinate Medical Officers.
The
reason
for this decision lies
in the fact of the present Hospital condemned by the Physicians and
having been emphatically Surgeons attached to it. As the representation of its present demerits has been thin distinctly endorsed by the Bengal Government, the only conclusion left for us to arrive at is,?that instead of patching up what is faulty, and trying to make bad better, it is the desire of the Local Government to erect a new Hospital with as
little delay
as
possible.

perfection building, the radical defects of which have caused it to be emphatically condemned by its Staff, and denied even benefit of Clergy by the Government. see
