Releasing of Tourniquet Before Wound Closure Or Not in Total Knee Arthroplasty: a Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials In Reply Firstly, thank you for your valuable comments on our article carefully. We are glad to answer your questions in order as follows. 1. About the first point, we don’t think the commenter read our article and our included article (especially number 21) carefully. The study of reference number 21, which has four groups, and every two groups has comparability. So we listed two groups of data in Table 1, however, it is only one study. 2. Thanks for the commenter’s valuable suggestion, we indeed agreed with the commenter’s viewpoint, and it would be better if this point was discussed. 3. About the Post-operative Hb, only four studies reported the data; the small sample size, the variability in the blood transfusion rates and the criteria for transfusion among these studies may bring about this consequence. And in our discussion section, we discussed it. 4. About the fourth and fifth points, there was no debate, we all agreed with the conclusion. 5. There was no doubt that blood loss in cement and cementless TKA was different. But they were equally allocated to the early and delayed tourniquet release group. This could increase the heterogeneity of the study, but we consider that this may not influence the results of the study or may have very little influence. Views vary wildly.

6. It was probable that the fibrinolysis process was circumvented by perioperative use of an anti-fibrinolytic agent like Tranexamic acid. But the Tranexamic acid was not routinely used in the studies. Thanks to the commenters again. Best wishes! Sincerely yours Pengfei Zan, Guodong Li.
