recording should have been done. Their results are not comparable. Fetal gender was detected both with ultrasound and at birth. The investigators were blinded such information. The difference in baseline conditions justified the use of percent variation. To reassure all the readers, we have now approached another undisputable model to show innate differences. We thank Dr. Esin for the interest. Every time there is a breaking new idea, most researchers ask themselves why themselves did not think of it and therefore try to find holes in other projects. Our idea was genuine and original and the results are robust enough to satisfy criticisms and curiosity. With this in mind, I reassure Dr. Esin as follows: The study is a pilot novel observation and needed no power size calculation. Nor the reviewers objected about that. Given the huge variation we found, next power calculation will reveal that far less than one hundred subjects will be needed to show the impact of the study.
