Response to the Letter to the Editor To the Editor, We are pleased to see the Letter to the Editor entitled: “Right ventricular function impairment in children after tetralogy of Fallot repair” in repsonse to our recent article (1). The authors had noticed that right ventricle systolic performance remained significantly impaired in children after open heart surgery for tetralogy of Fallot and in patients with transposition of the great arteries. We want to thank the authors for their suggestion that a comparison of S′ data with available normal S′ values and Z-scores will improve the statistical power of the analysis. It is a very important observation and we will try in the future to implement this suggestion. *Jingjing Ye, MD, and †Qiang Shu, PhD *Department of Ultrasonography; and †Department of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery, The Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and Zhejiang Key Laboratory for Diagnosis and Therapy of Neonatal Diseases, Key Laboratory of Reproductive Genetics (Zhejiang University), Ministry of Education, Zhejiang, China E-mail: [email protected] REFERENCE 1.
