Introduction

The Guangzhou is said to be the &dquo;South Gate&dquo; of China. has been one of China’s largest trading ports and has had trade with the western countries all along. In this decade. its Because of intensive and economy has been thriving even more. sometimes unreasonable developments, Guangzhou is facing severe environmental problems and consequently, although it is rich in water resources, it is suffering from water supply shortage. North River and East River As a whole, the West. River, are referred to as the Pearl River. Guangzhou is located in the center of the Pearl River Delta which is inlaid with a criss-
