Thank you to Brian Federici

consistently achieved high marks from authors. As a past president of the Society for Invertebrate Pathology, Brian strongly believed that a formal association between the Society and the Journal would be of mutual benefit and personally shepherded the effort to reestablish the linkage. The Journal is once again published under the auspices of the Society and the editorial board includes many Society members in its ranks. Brian recently retired from the University of California, Riverside and is also retiring from the editorship of the Journal. On behalf of the current editors and many others who served under his leadership, we offer our sincere gratitude to Brian for his years of service to the Journal and the Society and our best wishes for his retirement and future endeavors.
