T

he editors, editorial board, and publisher (Taylor & Francis Group, LLC) would like to extend our appreciation to Daniel M. Corcos, who has served the Journal of Motor Behavior for 20 years with dedication and distinction. Daniel joined the editorial board in March of 1995, and two years later became one of three editors of the Journal. At that time, the Journal was managed by Heldref publications. Daniel oversaw the transition of the Journal of Motor Behavior from Heldref to Taylor & Francis Group, LLC in January 2010 and became Editor-in-Chief in May 2012. Since then, JMB has increased its reputation as a leading journal in the field, has vastly improved the speed of the review and publication process, as well as access to the community through its online opportunities, including online access to all back and current issues, and rapid online publishing of accepted papers. Over the last few years Daniel has overseen three special issues, and one

invited article, both mechanisms that have served to further the scientific impact of the Journal of Motor Behavior. Daniel’s distinguished career as a scientist has included elucidation of fundamental motor control mechanisms, and important translational research in Parkinson’s disease. In addition, he is well known for his role in mentoring and facilitating the careers of generations of scientists. During his tenure with the Journal of Motor Behavior, he has continued this commitment to young scientists by ensuring unbiased and rapid reviews of their work, and by engaging them in the review and editorial processes, when appropriate. The current Editor-in-Chief and all four Editorial Board members continue this philosophy. We sincerely thank Daniel for advancing the Journal of Motor Behavior’s mission of facilitating the science of motor behavior, motor control, and movement neuroscience.
