A, An autopsy of an adult patient who underwent remote enucleation revealed optic atrophy (arrowhead). Compared with control magnocellular and parvocellular layers (ie, layers 1, 2, and 3-6) (B), the patient’s lateral geniculate nuclei showed degeneration of layers 2, 3, and 5 on the right side (C) and of layers 1, 4, and 6 on the left side (D) (cresyl-violet, original magnification ×12 [insets: cresyl-violet, original magnification ×40]). IL indicates intercalated layer. ARTICLE INFORMATION Correction: This article was corrected on January 21, 2015, to fix an error in the figure.
