After many years of dedicated services, JMMT Deputy Editors Carol Courtney, PT, PhD, Stephen May, PT, PhD and Mark Hancock, PT, PhD completed their terms and I want to personally thank them for their assistance in the development of the journal. They will stay involved as Associate Editors where they will continue sharing their expertise and will continue to review and mentor young investigators. JMMT is undergoing significant changes with Taylor & Francis that became JMMT’s publisher. In the same token, JMMT recruited a team of one Senior Deputy Editor, Shannon Petersen, PT, PhD that will lead the journal in the development and selection of authors for JMMT Special Topic Issues and four experienced Deputy Editors that will help JMMT develop further on the international scene of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy related research. Shannon Bravo Petersen, PT, DScPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is an associate professor at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and serves at the Specialization Academy of Content Experts for the APTA. Dr Petersen’s research publications and textbook chapters are in the area of manual therapy and exercise for patients with headaches, neck pain and back pain. She has presented her work at professional conferences both nationally and internationally, and serves as an Editorial Board Member and reviewer for multiple professional journals.

César Fernández de las Peñas, PT, PhD is a professor of Physical Therapy at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain. He has more than 300 peer-reviewed publications related to clinical human pain research and interaction between motor control and chronic pain. He has established a substantial network of international collaborations involving five different countries with universities and hospitals. He has participated in 50 conferences with related published abstracts/ proceedings and he has given lectures in Spanish at foreign universities and hospitals. He has given around 40 invited lectures at international meetings/workshops/seminars. Steven J Kamper, PT, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow, Musculoskeletal Division, at George Institute for Global Health, University of Sydney, Australia. Steve Kamper’s research interests include spinal pain, patient expectations and placebo effects, measurement and research methodology and musculoskeletal pain in children and adolescents. His work is published in leading general medical (BMJ, Mayo Clinic Proceedings) and topic-specific journals (Pain, Rheumatology, Cochrane, JMMT). Steve also has an interest in supporting and connecting research students and early career researchers, through training programmes and the International Collaboration of Early Career Researchers (www.theicecream.org). He teaches research methods and evidence-based practice skills to clinicians. Ken Learman, PT, PhD, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT received his BSPT from SUNY, Buffalo and his PhD in Sports Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. Ken

Editorial

is a professor of Physical Therapy at Youngstown State University where he is responsible for teaching the manual therapy content in the curriculum and has been actively engaged in OMT research. Ken has over 25 peer-reviewed journal publications, 6 book chapters and was a co-editor on an orthopaedic case text. Duncan Reid DHSc, MHSc (Hons) BSc, Dip Physio, Dip MT, PGD (Manipulative Physiotherapy) FNZCP, is an associate professor of Physiotherapy and Associate Dean of Health, Faculty of Health and Environmental Science, Auckland University of Technology. Duncan is the programme leader for the postgraduate programme in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at AUT. He is a life member of New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapists Association (NZMPA) and Physiotherapy NZ and Vice President of the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapists (IFOMT). He is a fellow of the New Zealand College of Physiotherapy. He is an active researcher and has over 100 peer-reviewed journal and book publications and is on the Editorial panel of the journals Manual Therapy, Manual and Manipulative Therapy and the New Zealand Journal of Sports Medicine.
