As of 1 July 1991 a cumulative global total of 371,802 cases of AIDS has been reported from 163 countries. This represents an increase of more than 5,000 cases over the previous month. This increase is due to the receipt of reports from the African Region, Region of the Americas, and the European Region. This report is the last of the monthly AIDS cases reports produced by GPA as it will now be issued on a quarterly basis. The first quarterly report will be issued on 1 October 1991. The case rate is expressed as cases per 100,000 of population. 1990 reporting generally incomplete. Signifies an updated report.
