A study of dens in dente. JAMES G. THOMAS, D.D.s., Morgantown, W.Va. Oral. Surg. 38:653-655 (1974) The developmental anomaly named "dens in dente" has been described as a lingual invagination of the enamel. occurring most fre-. quently in the maxillary incisor teeth. Once thought to be a rare anomaly, subsequent investigations indicate that it occurs with greater frequency than previously suspected. The results of a survey are described, in addition to the possible implication of this anomaly in early loss of the maxillary lateral incisor teeth. L. R. Manson-Hing
